The Everton midfielder suffered a horrific ankle injury during their premier
League home game with Tottenham on Sunday Nov 3 the ended in 1-1 draw..
The Portugal international fell awkwardly on his ankle after a rough challenge from Tottenham Son Heung- min in the 78 minutes of the game. The midfielder was later stretchered off the pitch and taken straight to Aintree Hospital by ambulance accompanied by members of the Everton medical team.
Son Heung- min was first shown a yellow card for the challenge on Andre Gomez by referee Martin Aktinson but after a replay by Var , he was shown a red card.
The Tottenham man broke down in tears when he saw the extent of Andre Gomez injury after his tackle on him.
The Everton midfielder was lying in pains on the pitch after the rough challenge with his eyes wide open, he was crying, shouting and screaming because of the pain.
After being rushed to the hospital, and after undergoing some test, it was confirmed that he suffer a fracture dislocation to his right ankle when his legs got caught in the turf as he landed awkwardly in the 78 minutes of the game.
"Everton football club later later confirmed that Andre Gomez will undergo surgery today being November 4 and Barcelona football club have taken to Twitter to wish the Everton midfielder a speedy recovery and they posted this on their Twitter page.
