The grandson of a naval flight deck captain stationed at the Long Beach Naval base and the son of an immigrant father from West Africa Uduak Joe -Ntuk has been appointed the California state supervisor for oil and Gas.
He’s a local product of St. Barnabas Elementary School and St. Anthony High School before attending Long Beach City College. Uduak-Joe Ntuk is a former student-athlete who was All-City and All-CIF in both soccer and football. He earned his Eagle Scout Award from the California Heights Troop 78.
Professionally, Uduak-Joe is a Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at California State University. He earned his Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Southern California, Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at California State University, Long Beach, and his Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Long Beach City College.
Uduak-Joe Ntuk is the Petroleum Administrator for the City of Los Angeles. He's responsible for oversight and policy of oil fields, gas storage facilities, petroleum refineries, and pipeline franchise agreements. A technical professional with both public- and private-sector energy experience, Mr. Ntuk provides technical advice to the Mayor, City Council, and various City Departments. He represents the City of Los Angeles on the South Coast Air Quality Management District's Multiple Air Toxic Exposure Study (MATES V) Technical Advisory Group and on the Baldwin Hills Community Standards District's Advisory Panel for the Inglewood Oil Field
