CEO of Mavin Records Don Jazzy has commended Nollywood actress Funke Akendele for her efforts in carrying out the punishment alloted to her by the Lagos state government for breaking the Lagos state government law on social distancing for the lock down to fight Coronavirus.
Recalled that the nollywood actress Funke Akindele threw a lavishing birthday party for husband JJC Skillz during the lock down enforcement and the birthday was attended by friends and family.
However, the Lagos state government found her guilty for not observing the law of social distancing and was charged to the magistrate court alongside her husband. In the court, Funke Akindele was found guilty for not observing the law and was sentenced to 14 days community service and isolation in a place were nobody can know. She and her husband was also fined 100,000 each.
The community service work include the couple visiting 10 most important public places and spending three hours per day to educate the public on the consequences of non compliance with government restrictions order.
Also the name and phone numbers of all the birthday attendees was demanded by the Court.
Funke and her husband successfully carried out the punishment alloted to them, and many celebrities have commended them for their obedience and efforts to carry out the punishment.
Just recently CEO of Mavin Records Don Jazzy took to his Twitter page to write down an emotional tribute to Funke Akendele and commending her for staying strong all through that period.
In his Twitter page, he wrote;
"I have always admired your talents and hard work, but I have more respect for you now as a person. You made a mistake and you owned it. This takes courage and you have shown all of us that you are courageous. As humans, we must make mistakes. Only God is perfect."
