Former governor of Anambra State and business man Mr Peter Obi who was the Vice Presidential Candidate in 2019 general elections under the People's Democratic party is among one of many who have supported the adaptation of Madagascar COVID 19 herbs to Nigeria.
In his recent tweet, he wrote;
"I firmly support the authorization of @MBuhari for importation and subjection of Madagascar COVID 19 surup to standard validation process for pharmaceutical, and possibly for use in the cure of this virus. Similar authorization and encouragement should be given to local inventors. This will give us scarce forex and will give confidence to domestic researches and inventors".

It was reported by a local paper in Madagascar recently that 55 patient have been cured of Coronavirus after using the herbs.
Tanzania, Guinea- Bissau, Comoros and some other countries are planning to import the herbal medicine.
